Ken,
     You are not alone.  Club activities need the support of the membership 
before they work and from the sounds of it, you may not have the support 
needed.  The first thing you need to do is determine the attitude of the 
membership.  Could it be that they want to do things but nobody wants to 
head it up?  The same guys always organize it and they are tired of it?
     If there are those willing to help but simply need a leader, then there
are a lot of activities you can do.  Fun Fly's, Club Class Pylon Racing, 
Mall shows, Adopt a School, and more.  Even simply organizing a group to go 
to Camden would work.  It's just like kids at play, "well, what do you want 
to do?  I don't know, what do you want to do?"   So make a decision, take 
the lead, and anyone who complains?  Ask them to offer their ideas for 
activities.  You may just get an assistant out of it.
