Hello Micheal; -=> Quoting Michael Grant to Peter Coggon <=- MG> 01 Jan 06 18:07, you wrote to GEORGE POPE: PC> Don't fret...they will never give you the chance. PC> Anyhow, you would have to most likely vote on other issues PC> like the "Language Police" ....only in Canada. PC> Thank god that it is ONLY in CANADA. MG> Only in Canada would a PM's promise to scrap the hated MG> "notwithstanding clause" be portrayed as a negative thing by the media. MG> Doesn't anyone in this country value civil rights anymore? Are you referring to the "Language Police" in Quebec as something to look up to as an example of civil rights? YES I valued Civil Rights. It was in the Charter of Rights signed by John Diefenbaker in 1962. The ownership of property then but left out after the so called Constitution crap started. After that passed it only made money for the lawyers and erroded what we had with all the Bills Passed before. I still want a party to say we'll give on important issues the citizens to vote on this or that...as they do in other countrys and some US States. Other then that, well it will get so bad allowing every 5 years or whenever the BLOC gets all headup....another vote on Quebec...Mmmmm maybe I'd like to vote on them too! Plenty of Crappy Tire money for them to have as currency. Oh yes...yesterday I ran into a similar babble about rights in a chat zone there were two one in english and one in french. Both allowed both languages...but when they didn't like what I had to say in the french side I got booted and banned. In the english side the same statement brought forth a great chat...That shows to me the mind in Quebec...the language police at work. No problem....civil rights all the way..with the consent of the majority not some politician in parliament. I still have not decided on how to vote...And this time might not again. Politics and politicians are dirty...broken promises. ttfn ... ARRRRRGGGHHH!!!! ... Tension breaker, had to be done. ___ Blue Wave/DOS v2.30 [NR] --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
