I'm on Broad River Electric near Inman, and my power came back on Friday.
But I can't get up my driveway for the trees and limbs.  My ex lives up
above Chesnee (also on Broad River) and is still in the dark.  My father
lives in town in Spartanburg on Duke Power and still doesn't have power.

Daddy has been sick and is just out of the hospital, so we took him over to
Gaffney to my aunt's.  While there were outages over there, it was nothing
like what happened in Greenville and Spartanburg.  I'm currently in
Charlotte at my sister's house for the weekend.

In Greenville, my old office down at Brookfield in Mauldin never lost power
(Laurens Electric).  My new office is in Orchard Park (Duke Power), and
that whole area has been dark (although I think they got power back on at
Heywood Mall yesterday).  My voice mail is answering this morning, though,
so power seems to have been restored.

It's a mess down here.  At its height, Duke was reporting over 700,000
without power in the two Carolinas, Laurens Electric reported over 40,000,
and Blue Ridge was around 20,000.  That article you pointed to was the
first one I saw that mentioned Broad River.
