John, at 13:50 on Jul 21 1996, you wrote to Bill Grimsley... BG> If your aftercall stats indicate 64-State trellis coding in both BG> directions, it's a USR. Rockwell currently only supports 16-State BG> trellis under V.34. JP> Do any other non-Rockwell chipsets support 64-state trellis coding? I have no idea, but in generic DSP modems, all controller code is external to the chipset, so it's up to the manufacturer to decide whether or not they use 64-State trellis coding. JP> While I'm at it, how can I obtain connect stats? Issue ATI6I11 to your modem before an ATZ reset (which clears the last call stats from ROM). Binkley has a keyword for this (AfterCall), which will log the results to file, but if using a different mailer, you might have a problem sending that command to your modem.
