subject: WHY

BB>DW>It angers me that there are breeders out there that take
BB>DW>advantage of newbies like myself and the nice people that
BB>DW>got your Eleanora. It really makes it difficult for good breeders
BB>DW>like yourself. They will think they have gone to heaven with
BB>DW>one of your babies. I was ready for Meggie to react like
BB>DW>the other bird I had and could not believe how wonderful
BB>DW>she was and is.
BB>I got a neat t-shirt with an AG embroidered on it from this
BB>particular couple today with a very nice note.
BB>It read:
BB>"Thanks for everything! Your babies are specieal :) Both
BB>of our girls are so sweet. More breeders should be like you.
BB>We hope you like the shirt. Thanks again, Richard & Sandy"
They seem real sweet. I am glad they got your babies.
BB>DW>Did you know I have a ghost in the house that likes oranges,
BB>DW>crackers and various other things?
BB>A ghost with the ititials..... MW?!?
You got it.
BB>DW>Meggie WILL NOT step up on my left hand for love or money.
BB>DW>Which hand did you use for her when you had her?
BB>I use the left hand - although for the right-footed babies, the
BB>right works better. I never realized the left hand would present
BB>a problem but I can see that the babies are reluctant (in the
BB>beginning) to step up on the right hand when the new owners come
BB>to visit. I ask them to use the left until they get the baby home.
BB>Stepping up on a different hand will be one of the few unfamiliar
BB>things when they leave me. The toys, cages and food will not be
BB>a problem so the only thing they really have to get used to is
BB>stepping up on the right hand. What I really must do is use both
BB>hands because it seems that the right hand is more natural
BB>for people to offer.
I thought I remembererd you telling me that your right hand was always
full of food and dishes so you used your left one. It took Meggie a very
short time and she started stepping on my right hand and now the left
one is taboo. Robin is left handed, yesterday I went to Hampton to see
Richard and got Robin to come over last night and this morning to take
care of Meggie. She said Meggie bit her. I could not understand it but
after hearing that Robin allowed Meggie to come out by herself and go on
top of her cage and that is how she tried to get her to step up it does
not surprise me a bit. Meggie was Queen of the mountain. Robin feed her
dinner by hand. Rob said she sat down to watch Tv while Meggie played
for an hour outside of her cage and the whole time Meggie kept saying
"come're" Robin said right, so you can bite me. She put some
nutriberries in the cage so Meggie went in to get them and she shut the
door. I dont like leaving even for a day, this was the first time since
I had Meggie that I have been away a whole day and nite. She acted like
she didn't even miss me when I came home.
Love, Diane
