Check the settings on the first page of the Dial Setup. Make sure that all
the entries are correct. Where it says Login Script the word NONE (exactly
as it is here) will select PAP authentication. If you leave the page blank,
DOIP will attempt to learn your ISP's login sequence with the defaults of
gin: (for Login, login) and ssword: (for Password and password). It will
then try to start up either PPP or SLIP depending on the type of connection
selected.
Also, check the modem information page. Refer to your modem documentation
and select the closest modem to what you actually are using.
I hope that this helps. I've been unable to find the reference to the
various error messages, but I remember that error being a PAP password
failure on retry message.
