Well, you should know that there is no such thing as a stupid question...
Ok, well... C++ is where I started in the formal course for computer
programming. It is an easy thing to grasp, and allows for complication
later. :)
As for compatability, one of the design features of C++ was its general
portability as a language. If it doesn't work right on one machine, recompile
the source on that machine... But generally, if you run TRUE DOS... No
problem...
I believe c++ is a favorite amoung the programmers, having its creation
based by a programmer. It can be used to program just about anything,
anywhere, anytime... Even the GUI enviroment of windows!
No matter what you do, learn.
