Hehe but it's a 20% increase! Still, it's 70$ an hour cheaper.

Yes. Don does it by telling'em up front he's not really a 'car guy' and
they ¨have to put the car on the lift as he doesnt drive . He
guides them in, sets ¨the plates under the car, then lifts it. Then, he
shows them how to do what ¨they need if it's simple stuff and they are not
sure. If it's not simple ¨stuff, he watches and learns while the other
person who broght the car in, does ¨it. Hands'em tools and such.
The building is long paid for so the only cost to operate is the pay of the
¨folks working there. It's just one person at a time and pay is just 7.15
an ¨hour. Don averages 3 customers an hour on a slow day. Can have
upwards of 15 ¨in a 3 hour shift. Folks actually check the schedule and
come in when Don's ¨there. The other workers tend to operate at a loss but
the long term safe car ¨storage they also operate makes up the difference.
(40 or 50$ a month, 50-60 ¨cars at a time there). The facility is only
open 6 days a week from 3-7pm (2 ¨of those days opens at noon).
It's a small base. Everyone knows Don .

DC> If you get a chance to watch it, I think you'll like it.
CS> Ah. There's a show I've heard of but we do not get it here. We get
CS> lots of reruns but the selection is more limited even with that. We
CS> get another one kinda like it that is British and pretty interesting.
CS> One day they are repairing a simple cabinet wall unit for a kitchen,
CS> another day, showing how to re-mortor a 700 year old wall.
DC> But, do they do it for laughs? _Home Improvent_ is all for the laughs
No, they show how to really fix stuff.
