Some of us have had a longer life than you, Jonathan and have actually

seen Avteks that are _ULTRA_ reliable. I have a MegaPlusFax 14.4 here

that has had three rom upgrades over the years and it has never been

anything other than perfect (even before the upgrades I was having no

probs with mine, but hey, they were free).

The best 14.4 modem I have ever had, and still works flawlessly. Best,

on statements like yours above, that you put IMHO.
