It was 1/4 impulse, not 1/8.  I've often wondered about this: full impulse
power is 1/4 the speed of light.  That would make 1/2 impulse power 1/8 the
speed of light.  Which would make 1/4 impulse power be 1/16 the speed of
light.  It seems that that would be to fast to be leaving space dick.
