Okay - as I said to Charles, I'm in mid redecoration, so I don't have a lot of
time to play, but I'll try and see if I can persuade a second instance of
Textedit to work.

 WS>  In DOS, the file names are also limited to 8 characters.  Thus the
 WS>  8.3 filename convention.  So, if I remember correctly, you would
 WS>  have: "C:\PROGRA~1\TEXTPA~1\textpad.exe" as the DOS path
& filename
 WS>  for your editor defined in mmail.rc (without the quotes).
