Ah...OK...and I have also heard that nopal or prickly pear cactus is good
for reducing blood sugar...although while it is a popular food in Mexico,
the local mexican markets son;t seem to have it.

I have also heard that in India diabetes is becoming a huge problem.  One
local Indian resturant owner swears by the treatments/herbs he gets from
his home land....and it appears that some of them, Bitter Lemon being one
of them.
