While listening to Frank Adam Pete heard:spawn
G'day Frank
FA> Hi guys,
FA> Does someone know what these mean, and what am i about to toss ?
FA> #define P_NOWAITO 3 /* ASYNCH, toss RC */
FA> #define P_DETACH 4 /* DETACHED, toss RC */
FA> They're in TurboC's process.h for the spawnxx functions.
Well in my QC help the're listed as.
P_NOWAITO Continues to execute parent process and ignores wait
and cwait calls against child process (asynchronous
spawnÄÄvalid only in protected mode).
P_DETACH Continues to execute parent process concurrently
with child process. Child process is detached from
parent's process hierarchy; if parent process is
terminated, the child process continues to run
(asynchronous spawnÄÄvalid in protected mode only).
They sound like they only apply to multi-tasking OS's
Pete.
