So? Shops were damaged & destroyed in both cases so do this make them
"anti-capitalism" or even an "anti-retail" riots?

They may not have torched places of worship simply coz they were too buzy
fighting & chasing after dusky muslim types with bottles & bricks
etc.

& then the riots in Paris were also based on other things than religion:

worrying signs of growing prejudice against their faith.
