subject: Strange Thing Happened

An hour ago I was wanting to view a .PDF file and AVAST slid a window
open telling me to think about what I was wanting to do.

When I hovered the mouse over the program name that caused AVAST to
wake up I saw a string of characters that AFAICR was nitrop~4.exe .

I searched my HDD from a CMD Prompt using DIR and all it reported were
files about the NITRO PDF Reader.
I saw the Date of one file was November 19, 2014, and two files in the
ALL USERS sub-directory were Dated October 14, 2014,but most of them
were Dated 2010 when I downloaded the Nitro PDF Reader.

Just a few minutes ago I finally saw Nitro PDF had been set to be the
Default PDF Reader program instead of the PDF-XChange viewer I recently
started to use instead of Foxit Reader, when I looked at the File Type
shown in Windows Explorer.

I used Open With to set PDF-XChange as the Default program I want to
use to read PDF Files.

I can't figure out why Nitro bumped PDF-XChange out of its place.

Maybe the XP computer is out to get me.
