And if the oil companies took advantage of the situation and closed down
refineries that didn't need to be closed or delayed reopening them when
they could have been operational then would the last big hurricanes in the
gulf have knocked out so many refineries? Seems to me your way of gauging
the affects is to accept that all the shutdowns were really not wanted by
the big companies who now own multiple refineries.
