Thanks for scratching Your head to help me, I appreciate the advice.
1. I have only one printer connected to A.C. power, and its USB
connector hasn't been unplugged.
2. I could scratch my head looking around REGEDIT for awhile.
And Yes, I would Save the current state to my XP desktop.
3. The WD External HDD I have connected by Firewire instead of USB has
not been showing up in the My Computer list for a long time.
I've tried unplugging the Firewire cable and Power wire and then
reconnecting them.
Sometimes the Blue Circle on the front lights up, other times it
doesn't.
Sometimes when I turn the XP computer Off the Blue Circle stays lit
until I turn the UPS Off, some days when I turn the UPS on and power
up the XP box it doesn't come on at all.
I haven't used it for ages since I got larger External HDDs now and
use them now.
It has a Yellow symbol on it in Hardware Manager.
The Driver Tab says it hasn't started.
I pressed the Troubleshoot button and Windows Help&Support opened up
telling me to Uninstall it and then Reinstall it using Add New
Hardware in Control Panel.
I did that but it couldn't help me.
As I said above it isn't being used now anyway so I haven't worried
so much about not seeing it in My Computer.
... The ANY key - that big long thing on the bottom.
