That scheme wouldn't work too well out here.  We'd have to go with bigger
and better backpacks.  They'd have to go the distance.

That happens in Europe too from what I've seen (TV, movies, etc) and mostly
heard.  Streets and roads here are wide, not counting logging roads.  What
is lacking is pedestrian and biking paths for commuting.  They go overboard
spending budgets on making roads suitable for gas guzzling large vehicles
with little or no regard for those who would rather walk or bike.  There
are quite a few nature trails and the such but that does little for day to
day life and is there mostly for tourism.  They are very nice though.  I've
been known to frequent them but like I said, not anything to do with day to
day existance.

My stuff would probably work.  Mind you there is just me to worry about so
it would work out fine.  The heat is what bothers me about there though.
