that appears to be the driver for an intel 82579v ethernet controller...
according to compaq.com it is apparently a gigabyte nic... what network
card is your system using?

it is possible that there's a bug in that driver and possibly some traffic
is causing some sort of heap or stack overflow... what is the version of
that driver? you might be able to right click on it and look at the
properties to see...

there's also an entry on some site that that file is classified as a trojan
horse... i don't know that i trust that analysis and certainly not unless i
analyze the file myself... if/when you find it to look at the properties,
you might email it to me in an archive... i think you have my wkitty42
gmail address, don't you? make sure you change the extension of the archive
