You want the PACKET echo, which should be available over there.  Some very
cluey people in there, Mike Bilow is its moderator; a friendly place.

Only a small part of packet radio is to do with radio modems, really, and
you can't (practically or legally) use CB bands for packet; it's all
happening in the amateur radio bands; again that's what the PACKET echo is
all about.
