If you think Bell Atlantic should offer service on a month to
month basis, write to your state Public Utilities Commissioner
explaining your views and why you think this should be the case,
also why you think requiring a contract is not in the public
good.
I can think of a number of good reasons for wanting short term
service for a perfectly credit worthy customer.  If the PUC
agrees, he'll order Bell atlantic to do it also the other
carriers in town.
Friend told me he found he can bargain with cellular companies in
Canada like at a mexican flea market.
