| subject: | HTick and filefixForwardRequests |
So, I got htick setup now to /handle/ forwarding file requests, to some degree,
but not yet complete.
An area I am having difficulty with so far is the the filefixForwardRequestFile
format, what it's expecting, for example..
I've tried the standard backbone format, which is like:
Area DAILYLIST 0 ! ADM: Daily Fidonet Nodelist
Area NODELIST 0 ! ADM: Weekly Fidonet Nodelist in ZIP format
Area NODEDIFF 0 ! ADM: Weekly Fidonet nodediff in ARC format
Area DIFFZIP 0 ! ADM: Weekly Fidonet nodediff in ZIP format
Area DIFFLZH 0 ! ADM: Weekly Fidonet nodediff in LZH format
Area COORDUTL 0 ! ADM: Coordinator Tools and Utilities
Area BACKBONE 0 ! ADM: ZoneHub appointed spokesperson/robot
I've also tried to convert that into a echolist .NA format as such:
DAILYLIST ADM: Daily Fidonet Nodelist
NODELIST ADM: Weekly Fidonet Nodelist in ZIP format
NODEDIFF ADM: Weekly Fidonet nodediff in ARC format
DIFFZIP ADM: Weekly Fidonet nodediff in ZIP format
DIFFLZH ADM: Weekly Fidonet nodediff in LZH format
COORDUTL ADM: Coordinator Tools and Utilities
FG_WORF FGW: FileGate Info files, FAQs, FILEGATE.ZXX, filegate.hdr
ECHOSTAT ADM: Echomail Traffic and flow statistics
Neither of which are apparently seeming to work.
What I have is my 1:135/371 Link in the config has the following:
Link fido-uplink
Aka 1:net/node
ourAka 1:135/371
Password ***
NetMailFlavour crash
FileEchoFlavour crash
Packer zip
AccessGrp Fido
LinkGrp Fido
Level 100
Areafix off
Filefix off
areafixAutoCreate off
areafixAutoCreateFile /sbbs/etc/ftn-links.fidonet.auto.cfg
areafixDenyFwdReqAccess on
areafixDenyUncondFwdReqAccess on
areafixForwardRequests off
AutoFileCreateSubdirs on
filefixAutoCreate on
filefixAutoCreateDefaults -p 14
filefixForwardRequests on
filefixFwdPriority 1
filefixFwdFile /sbbs/ctrl/fidonet.fa
#filefixFwdFile /sbbs/data/filegate.zxx
Neither the fidonet.fa or filegate.zxx show up when doing a %list..
Perhaps it just doesn't show them, but possibly still allows the attempt to go
through?
I'm also assuming that, per the documentation anyway, that:
filefixForwardRequests on|off
Goes onto the actual uplink links where you actually get fileecho links, sorted
by
filefixFwdPriority N
And does not go onto the actual links that would be making the requests..
