I really don't know. That doesn't appear to be the problem.

6.2 does run fine, but the setup floppy disk is unreadable now after so
many years.
Fortunately it doesn't matter now. If I change the port from 3 or 4 to
1 or 2, FrontDoor works quite happily on XP, but bugs out with "can't
initialise the modem" which is fair enough there is no modem on those
ports. Both "My ISP" and Windows Fax receive use Com3, so that is
probably why FD isn't being allowed to pirate it. It's worth a few bucks
sale or return to stick in another modem to see if that sorts it.
