No problem. No reason for attacking you.

True, to a point, but, I don't do a lot of listening in a motor vehicle,
as to me,
no matter how great the system, it is not a good listening environment. I
listen to my work critically, and
the automobile is not conducive to that.
I follow the buzz on car audio, but not as much as I do on home audio
components.
I still, though, prefer to do most of my reading about the professional
equipment and techniques, as information
on home and car audio is widely available to me through the mass media. As
a blind person,
I read echomail to bridge the gap between what I can get from the
mainstream media and the technical publications that aren't available to
me.
Therefore, I read echoes that keep on the topic of my profession or
hobbies.
I have many friends that are into higher end car audio, and they keep me
abreast of the state of the art in that field.
Otoh, here in the sticks, there are few that I can
gather information about my profession from. I must either buy the
publications and hope I can find someone with plenty of time on their
hands
who is technically literate or find it from other sources.
That's why I read this echo, and other places from the nets where I can
gather such information.
The car audio thread just got passed by, until I just happened to light on
your note out of boredom one evening .
All I can say is: If you want to build a car system with a lot of smoke,
grab a biiig capacitor to keep up with it, as otherwise, the battery might
not always.
Some of the folks around here need to learn that one.
REgards,
Richard
