JK>I have used and enjoyed REDIMSTR.PBU, and congratulate you on a useful
JK>extension that is also very quick.
JK>For some reason, you have not included source with REDIMSTR.ZIP,
JK>although you have with REDIM.ZIP, which is for integer arrays.
JK>Is there a reason for not including the source, or was it an oversight?
JK>I'd like the source, if I may, in order that I can recompile it with
JK>modifications as PB continues to improve. For the time being, PB 3.0
JK>compatible PBU's work with PB 3.2, but I don't know if Bob Zale plans
JK>to continue this tradition, so the source would be useful.
The RedimStr code was *lifted* from my commercial toolkit for PowerBASIC
(PBTools:Professional) which is why the source code was not included.
I can tell you that PowerBASIC 3.x will always be *downward* compatible
with linking units. So if there is a 3.3 release, it will continue to
link units from 3.0, 3.1, and 3.2. When the next major version of the
compiler is released, it will likely have REDIM PRESERVE built-in, so my
code will no longer be necessary.
However, if you'd still like to have the code, I am sure something can
be worked out.
