GM> I'm now having major problems.. Just for the heck of it... Does your BIOS have a setting for "IDE BLOCK MODE"? If so, try turning it off and see what happens. When I used to have a 486, I had poor performance with Block Mode turned on. Turned it off, and things shot back up.
