"Waterless" hand cleaners that you buy at the auto parts store
work pretty well for a variety of greasy gooy things and are a lot safer
than solvents. My favorite brand is Goop. Gunk (not the engine cleaner)
works too. A variety of them now have Orange in their name. Most of these
seem to be reasonably good and smell nice too. If these don't cut it, then
you can pre soften the pitch on
your skin by rubbing with Vaseline. Then the waterless hand cleaner will
help get the combination off. Goop and Gunk leave a little greasy residue
themselves. I usually finish off with dishwashing liquid and warm water.
