I think it's still too soon to tell on the elections but if the recent
polling of attitudes in Iraq ( way more positive than I would have imagined
) is valid there is hope for the future.

On the Saddam trial I still feel it would have been far better propaganda
wise to have him not be guarded by US personnel.  It leaves the taint that
he is not being tried by his own people
