It's really interesting when you get into names and dig deep to find out the 
interesting meanings and what not.  I think there's well over 100 different 
forms of "John" (male and female).  Carol is one of the
"unisex" names that 
you don't see anymore unless it's a female.  Most of the male Carols I know 
are old enough to be my dad if not older.
