I can't let that stand.

Gary viewed this through his usual reality-distortion field.

I, the world, and most of the "msm," Left and Right, took it
properly as a rare but heartening example of

o A detective finding the bad guy.  Justice.

o The bad guy remembering what mama taught him, apologizing *in person*,
and, miracle of miracles, resigning his job in shame to keep his firm from
getting splattered with the tar. Redemption.

o Siegenthaler *forgiving* the joker, and recommending the resignation not
be accepted.  Forgiveness.

o No Hollywood ending, at least not yet.  Reality.

o (We'll leave out the msm's natural glee at the feral spottiness of
unedited internet "information."  They're entitled, in this
case.)

Note also the pervasive subtext of morality, subtlety, consequence,
admission of wrong.  Let that be a leesson to ye, young man.

(Of course it's all too neat, and just too pretty for words, but what a
crackerjack story!)
