They may be idiots, but the judge's  intemperate opinion expressed bias and
hostility toward defendant's that create an appearance that they did not
get a fair trial, imho.  If  murderers are entitled to a fair trial and
more temperance from judges I think a couple of soccer moms deserve the
same.

On the second part I was trying to understand if all they wanted was a
statement presented to students that said basically Evolution is a theory
and no person can definitively state that evolution is the only way that
life could have originated and developed on this planet.  If that was it
then it seems not only scientifically correct but quite harmless.  My own
evolution teacher made similar statements on his own in an effort to be
*sensitive* as liberals love to be to people's beliefs.  That teacher was no
religious person and certainly believed in evolution.

If these people wanted to bring creation teaching into the classroom, I
agree that crosses the line.  Showing where evolution lacks some proof or
is weaker than in other areas doesn't. I don't know what they wanted
specifically, I was trying to find out.
