by that I meant access to the modem. BNU accesses it. Frontdoor's
request to speak to BNU and the portis denied by the operating system.

Oh,FD and FM still work fine. But they can't use the modem so they're
useless until they can.
Neil - you would'nt believe the botch that's running now to get this
message out. An old 25 Mhz Windows 3.1 system is cascaded through the new
machine's modem line in/phone out portss to the telephone line. In fact
it's actually running Dos 6.2. However I don't think Dos 6.2 will run on
the new hardware. If it does - problem solved.
