This is a little later in the day after posting the earlier message.
While the DOS keyboard really helps I find that there are still
things that MUST be done with stupid mouse. Search and Replace comes
up with F2-Search. But you can't execute forward, etc., without the
mouse.  But, still, your suggestion has cut mouse usage in half.
