Hi Tim,

I didn't hear it. BLUR was reported working Chicago center on UHF
a couple months ago. I was just wondering who it was. I strongly
suspect a U-2.

Nothing out of the ordinary here to report. We had an AWACS hanging
around up here during August as part of exercise Global Yankee and
that made for interesting listening! I think I posted all the AWACS
tactical freqs here and I also sent them on to Les Mattson for
inclusion in my column in the next edition of The Scanner Club.
However, things have been far from dull here. Still receiving a
lot of the usual traffic; air refueling, dog fight practice, etc.
Things definitely haven't been quiet.

Oh, a new call sign to report. FATLY was used one night by a US Navy
E-3 being refueled by a KC-10 from McGuire. I'll bet that was a sight
to watch go overhead! Also, McGuire KC-10s seem to be using the
call sign TEAM now.
