The RESOLV file (no extension - usually in \TCPIP\ETC or whatever directory 
is pointed to by the SET ETC= variable) contains DNS information.  You should 
copy it to the DOS ETC directory (usually \TCPIP\DOS\ETC).  ie. COPY 
\TCPIP\ETC\RESOLV \TCPIP\ETC\DOS
