While listening to Derek Woodlands Pete heard::( G'day Derek > You wouldn't happen to have one of those flat white Telecom phones > on the same circuit as the modem would you? The older types > recharge their batteries every 15 mins or so and cause modems to > drop out. Try disconnecting the phone and see if that works. DW> Bloody Netcomm's seem to be the most susceptible modem on the DW> market for this problem. It is time they lifted their act and DW> cured it at their end rather than blaming Telstra. Maestro's DW> and Banksias that I have used here have no problems. Netcomms DW> and Avteks do. ;-( Not just Netcomm's, Telecom Touchphones have been causing problems with modems since Telecom started using them, later ones seem fixed or at least not as bad also a Netcomm InModem's as well as Avtek's are at the cheaper end of the range, it's a bit like saying 'bloody holden statesmans' when the only holden you've driven is a Barina :-). Give a M34F Smartmodem a try then comment on there useability. -=Pete=- --- OMX/Blue Wave v2.12* Origin: Gates of Hell (3:713/914.16) SEEN-BY: 50/99 78/0 620/243 624/300 625/100 711/409 413 430 808 809 932 934 SEEN-BY: 712/515 713/111 317 611 615 618 620 676 700 888 914 714/906 800/1 SEEN-BY: 7877/2809 @PATH: 713/914 615 888 711/808 809 934 |
