While listening to Derek Woodlands Pete heard::(

G'day Derek

DW> Bloody Netcomm's seem to be the most susceptible modem on the
DW> market for this problem. It is time they lifted their act and
DW> cured it at their end rather than blaming Telstra. Maestro's

 DW> and Avteks do. ;-(

Not just Netcomm's, Telecom Touchphones have been causing problems
with modems since Telecom started using them, later ones seem fixed or
at least not as bad also a Netcomm InModem's as well as Avtek's are at
the cheaper end of the range, it's a bit like saying 'bloody holden
statesmans' when the only holden you've driven is a Barina :-). Give a
M34F Smartmodem a try then comment on there useability.
