I have to say from experience that this is indeed true. On this laptop,
TaskManager is nice now that I have things straightened out. On the
desktop though, (in shipment now), TaskManager's switching isn't much
faster than launch and return. The difference is that this laptop is a
386/25 with 4 MB RAM whereas the other is a 486DX4/120 with 24 MB of
RAM.
The only OpenDOS quirk I have is that CTRL-ALT-DEL doesn't work on this
laptop, but I can type "boot" and it does the same thing. Still, this
laptop is 100% Microsoft free, and that makes me quite happy.
