That's my biggest beef with organised religion - it cynically plays on this
nature to gain power. I think the founders of Christianity and Islam in
particular would be horrified at what's been done in their names. Ok, so
that's not exactly an original statement but it's still valid.

I'm all for personal faith, but once some guy in a dress starts telling me
to eat fish on Friday or face eternal damnation and BTW there are some
blasphemers we need to beat up, then I'm outta there.
