Hi Bill, PS> Init-1 ATH0B0X7E0V1Q0M0&A3&B1&K3&M4&G2&H1&R2| PS> Init-2 ATE1&N0&S0S0=0S7=45S10=40S11=45S19=2| BG>Massive overkill, IMO. Some people init with a simple AT&F1&K3, BG>although I use ATZ with Binkley, having already written AT&F1&K3&W BG>manually (there's a good reason for this, as USR modems actually store BG>the baud [bit] rate in NVRAM, so you need to perform an &W with DTE BG>already locked to your preferred speed). Will try some more _simple_ init strings, so far, the above has been good for *all* connects to it, most users are noticing better connects, a couple long distance (std etc) callers have said they are geting less crc errors during d/loads (they are a mix of v.32b - v.fc) cya later, Paul. ...
