Hi All,
For several years I have used Terminate and TerMail as a nodesystem under
Windows 95 (200 MHz Pentium MMX)
I have tested mij node software on my my new 2.5 GHz Pentium 4 with
Windows XP as OS.
Terminate used as mailer and BBS.
TerMail as scanner, tosser, packer/unpacker, maileditor/reader, nodelist
updator, nodelist browser, msg base (JAM) handler, etc. And Binkley style
IN-/OUTBOUND.
Terminate does not work on this hardware and OS:
"Runtime error 200 at 153E:0BFE"
TerMail runs very well on this new system!
So I have to replace Terminate with a (Binkley style IN-/OUTBOUND) mailer
that can run under Windows XP.
Further more: being capable of handling 2 devices (modem + ISDN adapter)
for incoming and outgoing calls.
I don't need a BBS anymore (I think;-)
But a filerequest processor and file-processor would be nice.
I suppose my BinkD IP mailer (not yet tested) will work with XP on a fast
system.
Anyone with a usefull suggestion/advise?
Thanks in advance!
BTW: I like to keep using TerMail in combination with a new mailer.
Best Regards,
Herman Neut
