HL>> My PC is now playing silly buggers. As soon as I open a

All there and correct... 256MB of it.

HL>> I've got rid of a heap of useless crap in my registry, but
MM> that didn't stop the problem. But it sure sped up my PC.
MM> Err ... how did you achieve that ?

I used a programme called Registry Clean Expert. Beautiful
programme. Actually gives you exact details as to what each
fault is... and you can delete it if you want or keep it. So one
can actually tell if it's just a mistake or a really useless entry.

HL>> Do you think de muvverboard is playing up or that Win98 is

 MM> Win98 sounds injured - a re-install seems indicated; does 98 have

I reinstalled Win98 just a few months ago... and that didn't help much.
Win98 doesn't have a restore feature. I'm going to upgrade soon anyway.
I've gotten my "pet techie" to hunt out a more powerful motherboard and
then I'm gonna upgrade to XP.

Mind you... I suspect the problem lies mainly with IE6. As it's the only
programme that will set off these faults.

MM> Tell you what - there's a great bunch of gurus on WIN95 who
MM> will guide your finger to the right spot - Brendon often

Ummmm... if it was Win95, I'd fix it myself as I knew that O/S like
the back of my hand. ;-)
