I'm not sure i understand what your saying, is it that you can only
get 14400 connects and no higher or when you do get a 28800 connect
you don't get the 'CONNECT 28800/' message?.

Why not capture your modems settings " in telix then send AT&V
to the modem then  again to close the capture file" and post
them here.
