Sean - Could you ask Dean if he has or could release the WWIV network software source code? I don't know if he obtained that from Wayne Bell at the time or not. I'm no programmer, but there are some people that could probably add some good new technology to the obsolete WWIV network software. Natively, it only supports dialup modems. There is no BinkP, FTP, or anything Internet related. The only other option to move WWIV forward would be to use WWIVTOSS to convert messages to Fido style and use those networks for everything. I'm working on trying to get the source code to WWIVTOSS from Craig Dooley. Hopefully he still has it and wouldn't mind sending it over. - Mark --- WWIVToss v.1.40 Registered* Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 @PATH: 261/1304 266/512 140/1 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
