          Travis McGee lives aboard a boat called the Busted Flush and
has a friend by the name of Meyer. I think he does have money. He solves
mysteries when called upon by friends. He is in a whole series with
colors in the titles, such as: The deep blue goodbye, nightmare in pink,
etc. This same author wrote The Girl, The Gold Watch & Everything and I
believe they made a movie of it, also The Neon Jungle.
We too have suddenly been having a heat wave. The sweats are back in the
drawer and short sleeves are back. Crazy weather, but Southern Cal. is
notorious for that. Never know how to dress from one day to the next.
