Too late. :-) This happend...ummm...mid 80s. The vet who missed was an
underling, and it was my original veterinarian who caught the problem.
This wasn't an isolated incident at this clinic. I saw one other newer vet
there, also female, who treated me in a very condescending manner--I
specifically asked her for liquid medicine for a cat in one instance, and she
deliberately gave me THREE very pricey tablets, which did not work.
Fortunately, on a return visit to the clinic, I had an opportunity to consult
with my original vet. He gave me the medicine I originally asked for (which
worked) and only billed me for the medication.
That was enough for me. From now on, when I go to that clinic, I see either
of the two male doctors who have been there for an extended period of time.
No "newbies", no female vets.

Fortunately, my lovies are in very good condition right now, which makes me
very glad!
