IMHO this used to be a valid argument (shouting a message). I'm not so sure
anymore. What's changed is that it's now possible to collect, collate and
analyze the shouting of the entire country. Surely that changes things? The
government has powers of data collection undreamed of 50 years ago. And I
don't trust the government to do the right thing.

It's similar to what I expressed to Adam: I don't care about the single
security camera at the local bank. I do object vigorously to the government
collating the data generated by tens of thousands of cameras nation-wide.
