2.0 isn't common.  Too little, too late, and not very well done seems to be
the market consensus.

Standards bodies are not always your friend.  Witness ANSI, designed to
kill Lear-Siegler rather than to be a good, fast, and usable standard.  Of
course, we now have to live with it more or less forever.

Or the wonderful typewriter keyboard, designed to slow typists down...
