I did log on using the Administrator account. Still no luck with getting 
the critical updates to work.
I even created a new account and put it at the administrative level and it 
still failed to download any files.

Oh well....
I guess until I get off my bum and nuke the hard drive and start over. I 
will just have to live with it.....LOL
