Hello All-
I am soo excited! I went to a bird fair in Baton Rouge, mostly to
meet someone I have talked to on a mailing list, exotic-l. I bought a
bunch of toys for my guys, and some crock-locs for my bowl throwing B&G.
Actually, I guess I bought those for *me* . And, I bought a couple of
raffle tickets (I know, I know, but I couldn't help it> Guess what? I
won the grand prize!! I win the sweetest little 12 week old
orange-bellied senegal, complete with a large cage! I drove BACK to
Baton Rouge todau to pick him up! He is so cute, with those black
little-baby eyes. He reminds me of an amazon in disguise. He ate
all the way back to Jackson, which surprised me. My other guys arent
big about eating in transit. Now, I know nothing about senegals. I
have amazons and a B&G. I am feeding him parrot mix, along with fruits,
vegetables, and some warm foods like crazy corn. Does this sound right?
I know somebody out there must know about senegals! What age are they
generally weaned at? The little guy is only 12 weeks old. Is there
anything special I should know? I have him quarintened (sp?) at this
time. Let me hear from you! I can also be e-mailed---Spottie@aol.com
                                  Michele
