RW> That's what my dad said about Fords, back in the day. I bought a few RW> anyway. 8^) My only regret was buying a 55 Ford and finding that the same RW> year Chevy could kick its butt. Just for fun, I have been looking at Trans AMs (maybe one day to have as a "spare car"), but the engine area looks very crammed. That seems to be the norm these days. My Monte Carlo engine area is way less crammed than most cars these days. RW> New models have an external high pressure pump. Dropping the tank on a RW> pick up is too easy, unless your pump goes out when the tank is full. One of these days, I am going to replace my fuel pump. No issues with the pump, but the float doesn't work properly once it gets around 1/2 tank. RW> If you look at the Pro-Kool R134 recharge system, you have to manually RW> pull a trigger to reload the system. Don't know how anyone could connect RW> to the R134 port and not get it right. R12, yeah that happened a lot... I have always used the R134a "Arctic Freeze" brand. When you go to plug the connector on the port, if you don't pull back the connector all the way and push hard, it will leak pressure and coolant out of the car's A/C system. Sort of like when you connect a air hose to a tire to add air. I have gotten better at it after all those refills last year. - Mark --- WWIVToss v.1.50* Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 953 @PATH: 261/1304 1 266/512 140/1 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
